Plot summary
Angie Wells keeps her uncle's events business running, doing the work that brings each party together, and her cousin Candace Karilla is the one who gets the credit for it. She takes a night off and goes to the Christmasquerade Ball in a mask and gown, so the guests around her have no idea who she is. The disguise lets her relax, and she catches the eye of Nikolaus Karmichael, a wealthy local bachelor. Angie has to leave the ball before she reveals her identity, and Nikolaus is left searching for the masked guest he met there.
