Sarah Stouffer

Sarah Stouffer is an American actress who grew up in Vacaville, California, performing in musical theater and studying with the Solano Youth Theatre before moving to Los Angeles at 19. With little film experience behind her, she was cast as Jackie Kirk, an undergraduate involved with her psychology professor, in Fernanda Cardoso's coming-of-age film Bloomington (2010), winning the Outstanding Emerging Talent Award at the 2011 FilmOut Programming Awards. Guest parts on Bones and Criminal Minds followed, then the comedy-horror Chastity Bites (2013) and the television movie A Cinderella Christmas (2016), and in 2015 she played Tess Ritter on the ABC series Switched at Birth. She began creating her own comedy sketches and co-created the web series Grey Area, for which she is a co-writer and producer and plays Kate. In 2021 she added writing and directing to her acting for the short What About Us?, and she also produces and directs for the video company Who Shoots Your Films?.
