Plot summary
In ancient Arabia, the king takes a new bride each morning and has her killed at dawn. Sheherazade, his latest wife, stays alive by telling him stories that she leaves unfinished when the sun rises. She finds a magic lamp, and the genie inside it, Jimmy Genius, comes from the twentieth century, where he has settled in London as an English gentleman. He crosses between his own era and hers through the screen of his television set, and sends her help from his world, including a motorcycle and an airplane. Sheherazade also entertains the king with tales of Sinbad the sailor and his seven voyages to seven lands, where he meets magical creatures and finds priceless treasures.
