Ace of Aces (1982) on Netflix

Plot summary

In 1916 a French fighter ace, Jo Cavalier, and a German one, Günther von Beckmann, drag one another out of the sky; a fistfight over who is whose prisoner ends when an artillery barrage forces them to work together. Twenty years later Jo brings a team of boxers to Berlin for the 1936 Olympic Games. On the train he meets Simon Rosenblum, a boy who asks for his autograph, and Gaby Delcourt, a reporter traveling to interview Hitler. When Simon's grandfather fails to meet him at the station, Jo takes the boy to the family bookstore and finds Gestapo agents wrecking it. The Rosenblums ask him to hide them, and he brings the family to his team's hotel, where Gaby is staying. Jo flirts with Gaby, and the next morning he runs into Günther, now a Luftwaffe general.
