Plot summary
For the opening of the Zombie Hut, the gangster Ace Miller's new cabaret, press agents Jerry Miles and Mike Streger promise a genuine zombie and plan to pass off a former boxer in costume. Douglas Walker, a radio celebrity and Ace's rival, knows the boxer and vows to humiliate Ace unless the club's zombie is real. Miller's men threaten the pair with death if they fail. A museum curator tells them of Professor Renault, a scientist said to create zombies on the island of San Sebastian. Sailing there, they meet Jean LaDance, a cabaret singer who offers to help find Renault in exchange for passage off the island.
