Plot summary
Dudas is a reclusive genius said to be able to distort reality, and Hoyle is the investigator on his trail. Her mind is sharp and her taste runs to bourbon, and the work takes turns she cannot account for as the events around her grow fragmented, then disconnected, then surreal. A lounge singer and her partner are the only allies she trusts. A dangerous man shadows her, and an ever-present shadow haunts her besides. The case carries talk of consciousness, of time, and of the secrets of the universe, and of someone who might reach the whole of it and bend reality itself.

- A seven-episode viral web series based on Nathan Mobley's "Lab Assistant" character from Yesterday Was a Lie debuted on Blip.tv in January 2011 and is viewable as an Easter egg on the film's official site.
- Artist James Hill turned the film into a limited edition graphic novel. It first came out as a San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive at 2010's Comic-Con International.
- The physical CD included two bonus tracks, "Can You Help Me?" and "City Talks", that were not part of the digital download.
