Biography

John Newton is an American former actor who was born in Chapel Hill in 1965 and first became known for the lead role of Clark Kent, or Superboy, in the opening season of the television series Superboy, from 1988 to 1989, before Gerard Christopher replaced him. He also had regular parts on Melrose Place and The Untouchables and a recurring role on Models, Inc., which he moved from to Melrose Place once that program was canceled; both belonged to the Beverly Hills, 90210 group of shows. In 2011 he voiced Superman in the animated fan film Superman Classic, and he later turned to energy healing.
