Plot summary
Six years into their marriage, Olive Greene and Clay Lonergan call it quits. Olive, a doctor, has tired of Clay's immaturity, and the professional hockey player moves out of their home to a trailer by a lake in the woods. Neither wants to give up Wesley, their golden Labrador, so the dog stays at the center of the split. A pet psychologist tells them Wesley needs discipline, and Olive takes him to a dog trainer, Glenn, who handles the dog at once and asks Olive out. Clay, meanwhile, films a video with his friend Rhett at the trailer, and it shows how little control he has over Wesley.
