Plot summary
Outlaws under Whit Ballard rob the Wyatt drovers of their herd and kill the parents. Ballard takes young Jim Wyatt away with him and leaves Jim's brother John behind. Grown, John raises a band of vigilante cowboys to find the men who killed his parents and took his brother; the band becomes known for rounding up outlaw gangs. John hires on with a cattle-herding family and is drawn to Mary, the family's daughter.
