Plot summary
Four electricians are sent into a condemned building to cut its power before demolition. Inside, the floor plans do not match the size of the place, and breaking down a door reveals an old laboratory. An atomic pile there powers a strange machine set into the floor. The men set off an alarm and start the device, and a portal opens. Dean drops through it and Junior follows. Ray and Shelly stay behind with a journal the scientists left, which describes an attempt to build a gateway to a parallel universe, and then they step through as well. On the other side lies a deserted Chicago wrapped in webs, where spider-like creatures hunt.
