Jason Jones
Biography
Jason Jones, who was born in Hamilton in 1973, is an actor, comedian and writer from Canada and the United States. He joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as a contributor in 2005 and became a full-time correspondent, remaining until 2015. His segments included reports from Iran before the 2009 election, where he interviewed journalist Maziar Bahari, and he later appeared as himself in Rosewater (2014). He co-hosted The Daily Show in 2014 and left in 2015 to work on The Detour, a TBS series he created and starred in from 2016 to 2019. Earlier he performed with the Canadian sketch troupe The Bobroom, hosted Craft Corner Deathmatch, and co-wrote, co-produced and starred in Ham & Cheese, which earned six Canadian Comedy Award nominations. His film roles include All About Steve (2009), The Art of the Steal (2013), Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015) and I Used to Be Funny (2024).
