Plot summary
Between 1969 and 1974 Marlon Brando is getting ready to act in The Godfather and Last Tango in Paris, while he also works out a plan with Bernard Judge. Judge is an architect in Los Angeles, idealistic and little known, settled in his life there. Brando wants a retreat on a small Tahitian island where nobody lives, and he asks Judge to build it. The design is meant to be the first ecologically perfect one of its kind. Much of the work happens on Tetiaroa, where the two men try to bring in sustainable architecture and sustainable practices.
