Plot summary
Deborah Ballin uses her television program to argue that a battered woman who killed her abusive husband acted in self-defense. Her views incense Colt Hawker, who works on the studio's cleaning staff and despises women; he blames his mother for the disfigurement of his father years earlier. Colt goes to Deborah's home and attacks her, and she survives and is taken to County General Hospital. There she befriends a nurse named Sheila Munroe, an admirer of her stand on women's rights. Learning that Deborah lived, Colt follows her to the hospital and enters the building disguised as a florist to finish what he began.
