Venus Wars (1989) on Netflix

Plot summary

Susan Sommers, a reporter, gets to Aphrodia's capital just before Ishtar's forces move in. Venus is a frontier world, and its settlements have slid into a dystopia under a civil war between Ishtar and Aphrodia. In the city she meets teenagers who spend their time on a motorcycle sport much like roller derby, among them the daredevil rider Hiro. When Ishtar takes Aphrodia, Hiro and his friends are drawn into the effort to drive the invaders out, though they join it reluctantly.
