Plot summary
Mike is a young man living on the streets of London, weighed down by addiction and poverty. One morning he takes money from an older couple, then notices an older woman playing a violin and watching him. His wallet goes missing and he blames Nathan. The two brawl outside a cafe until Simon steps in. Mike gets the wallet back, apologizes, and Simon offers him something to eat. As they walk, Mike strikes Simon, takes his watch and heads to a pawn shop. Officers pick him up outside, and he is held in prison, where he calls his mother. After his release, social worker Nadia helps him settle into a hostel. He tells her he was adopted and has no family support.
