Plot summary
In Benton, New York, in 2015, high school senior Patrick Weaver, called Trick, joins a Halloween party game of spin the bottle that uses a knife marked TRICK on one side and TREAT on the other. The knife points at another boy, and the other players tease him. Trick takes the knife and kills five teens. Someone stabs him with a fire poker. Detective Mike Denver then pursues him, and Trick vanishes into a river.
