Todd Farmer

Todd Farmer is an American screenwriter and actor who has worked in the horror genre. In the mid-1990s he left Texas for Los Angeles, where he began working for Sean S. Cunningham. His first film as a screenwriter was Jason X (2001), the tenth Friday the 13th entry, for which he chose a futuristic setting so it would not conflict with Freddy vs. Jason, then in development. He also wrote The Messengers (2007), though rewrites meant little of his script reached the finished film; its straight-to-DVD prequel, Messengers 2: The Scarecrow, later used his original script with minor changes. With director Patrick Lussier he co-wrote four films, starting with the 3D remake My Bloody Valentine (2009), followed by the supernatural revenge thriller Drive Angry (2011), which starred Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard and William Fichtner. Farmer has also taken small acting parts in his films, apart from the two Messengers installments.
