Plot summary
For 22 years Ray Ray Dominguez has worked the same job in New York City, where his understanding boss Wilson notices no problems, and he is often late with the rent he owes Gilly. He likes hanging out with his friends and dreams of moving to Miami. His sister Daniela and her husband Raul have six children and money trouble. When the couple die, Elizabeth Warden, a child services worker, brings the six children to Ray Ray's apartment, since he is the only family they have. Elizabeth wants to place all six children in new homes, though she expects that the teenagers will be the hardest to place.
