Trailer

Plot summary

After moving into a house they inherited, Tom, a withdrawn and troubled young man, lives with his mother Elaine, who is struggling. The family background they come from is a distressing one. Elaine turns to their neighbor Ward for help, and Ward jealously watches over his daughter Holly. Holly is manipulative, and she picks up on Tom. Nearby is a turlach, a lake in winter that an underground river feeds, one that flows only at intervals, and it is dangerous. Tom explores the water and finds a dreadful relic in it. Ward will do anything to stop people from learning about the relic.
