Plot summary
Danny, Mitch, Gil and Rory are middle-aged men now, but in the early 1980s they were the Suburbans, a new wave band with one hit to their name. They reunite to play that song at Gil's wedding, and Cate, an executive at a record company, is in the audience. She comes to them afterward with a proposal for a pay-per-view reunion show that could bring the band's fame back. The four take up the offer, though none of them is eager, and the production sets their old rock image against their settled suburban lives while they weigh dreams of fame and fortune against the lives they have now.
