Plot summary
Ko Chun has retired from gambling and lives a wealthy life abroad with his pregnant wife, Wan Yau. He refuses the challenges of rival gamblers. His friend Dragon, once his bodyguard, arrives for a shooting contest, and while the men are out of the house Chau Siu-Chee and Ko Chun's old opponent Chan Kam-Sing come and kill Wan Yau and her unborn son. As she dies, she asks Chun to promise that for a year he will not gamble and will not reveal that he is the God of Gamblers.
