Plot summary
Su Can is a martial artist and the lazy, spoiled son of a rich general. He cannot read. While visiting a brothel he meets Rushuang, a member of the Beggar Clan who has disguised herself there to take revenge on Zhao Wuji, a high official who killed her father. Rushuang tells Su she will marry him if he takes first place in the imperial military examination. Su accepts the challenge and enters the contest.
