Ko Chun grows up in a wealthy family in the care of his nanny. In 1969 his nanny gambles at a den; its banker, Tai-Chin, fakes a police raid and escapes with her jade ring and the other stakes. His daughter Seven falls in the rush, and Ko Chun pushes her clear. Child kidnappers seize Ko Chun, and the gambler Kent buys him, along with Ko Ngo, making Ko Chun his adopted son and pupil. Years later, with Seven grown, Kent brings the group to a God of Gamblers contest in Macau.
