The Priest's Wife (1970) on Netflix

Plot summary

Valeria Billi is going out with a man who, she finds out, is already married, and the news drives her to attempt suicide, though she first phones a help line. She survives and comes round in a hospital bed, where she meets Don Mario, the priest who had taken her call that night. Fond of him, she sets about trying to date him, and Don Mario in turn gives in to her charms. The two of them soon see that the chief obstacle in front of them is the holy vow of celibacy he has taken as a Catholic priest.
