Plot summary
Joey earns his living as a party emcee, and a fire has destroyed all of his equipment. His daughter Julie's Bat Mitzvah is a month away, and replacing the gear will cost $20,000 that he does not have. His uncle Morty proposes a way to get it. Rose, Joey's 85-year-old grandmother, keeps a pickle recipe that may be the best in the world, and she has not shared it with anyone else. Morty suggests that the two of them take it. Joey needs the money badly enough to consider the idea, though Rose is not looking to give the recipe up.
