Plot summary
Rudy Cafmeyer steals and smuggles historical artifacts and fights his way out of a high-security building with a Fabergé egg. His father, the archaeologist and museum curator Oscar "Ozzie" Cafmeyer, travels to Israel over a secret he has discovered and is kidnapped during a phone call with Rudy. Rudy goes to Jerusalem to find him. Professor Walt Finley gives him the key to a safe-deposit box in East Jerusalem, and inside Rudy finds a map of tunnels and a treasure room beneath the city. Police Chief Ben Ner wants him deported and assigns Dalia Barr to keep him from escaping.

- Director Sheldon Lettich said the highlight of The Order was a chase through the Old City of Jerusalem with Jean-Claude Van Damme disguised as a Hasidic Jew, running from and fighting Israeli police, and that he was amazed he convinced Van Damme to do it.
