Plot summary
A U.S. military operative called the Mother arranges an arms deal between Adrian Lovell, a former SAS captain, and the arms dealer Hector Álvarez. She is romantically involved with both men and becomes pregnant. When she learns they are mixed up in child trafficking, she turns to the FBI as an informant. Agent William Cruise is questioning her when Lovell attacks the safe house. Her daughter is born early, and the Mother gives up her parental rights so the child can grow up with a foster family. Twelve years later, the girl, Zoe, is kidnapped from a park.
