Plot summary
Sally O'Hara is a dancer, and Prince Danilo Petrovich falls in love with her. He is the nephew of the king of Monteblanco, and when he asks Sally to marry him, King Nikita I and Queen Milena will not allow the match, since she is a commoner. Believing her prince has jilted her, Sally weds Baron Sadoja, an elderly roue whose fortune has kept the kingdom solvent.
