Plot summary
In the Arctic, the scientist Dr. Gregory Sinclair and his party chop a man out of the ice and revive him. He is Howard Hillary, who speaks of Felice, the daughter of a ship's captain, and of a mutiny in which he was struck down as he tried to save her father. Sinclair does not tell him that a hundred years have gone by, and takes him back to civilization. There Sinclair finds that his ward, Felice Strange, is to be married that day, and that her father never reached the expedition he had gone to join. At the sight of the bride, Howard speaks the name Felice and asks her to remember the love they shared. The wedding is put off, and Felice asks him to help find her father.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about The Man from Beyond (1922)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The Man from Beyond was in some ways Harry Houdini's attempt to reconcile with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, his erstwhile friend, after the two fell out over a seance in which the "spirit" of Houdini's mother, who had only spoken German while alive, communicated with her son in English.
SPOILER
The Man from Beyond ends with the words "You must believe" and the spirit of the 1820 Felice entering the body of the 1922 Felice, a replication of the cover of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 1918 spiritual treatise, The New Revelation.- The film's press book claimed that Houdini's "supervision" usurped Burton King's directing, though the article reports little evidence for that; Houdini, as was his habit, performed all of his own stunts.
