Plot summary
Professor Challenger is an explorer and researcher who believes a lost world survives in Central Africa. His sole evidence is a photograph of a cliff and of a creature that resembles a pterodactyl, and scientists in Britain dismiss his claims. Edward Malone, a young reporter who wants an adventure, is assigned to interview him. Jenny Nielson, a wildlife photographer whose rich American family supports the sciences, brings the funding for an expedition. The antagonistic Professor Summerlee leads it, allowing Malone and Nielson to join but refusing Challenger.
