Plot summary
Anna, Tom, Joe, Alexis and Chris are crossing the ocean by yacht to close a business deal in Asia when they come upon a man left drifting at sea. They take him aboard, but he is injured and in shock. He overrides the autopilot and tries to turn the vessel; instead the yacht runs onto a rock and sinks. The five make it to the beach of an uncharted island and try to reach the Coast Guard on the yacht's radio. Before any help can arrive, the stranger's body is missing from the grave they dug for him. - An earlier 2009 filming of the story, titled The Tribe, was directed by Jorg Ihle and starred Jewel Staite, Justin Baldoni and Kellan Lutz. After producers disliked the edited cut and could not get that cast back for reshoots, they remade the whole film as The Lost Tribe with a new director, script and cast.
