Plot summary
Bill Williams, a former actor whose career has collapsed, is approached by the agent Johnny Bernstein with an offer: the billionaire Davis Roman will pay him to write and co-star in an action movie modeled on True Lies for Davis's son, Aaron. Aaron has cerebral palsy and no acting experience, and the project is meant to let him star in an action picture. Bill agrees for the money. At the Roman mansion he meets Davis and his wife, Shelby, and then Aaron, who describes his ideas for the script. Bill's ex-wife, the producer Susan Mandeville, arrives with a film crew and announces she will produce the movie. Bill also recruits Guy Prince, a man he met in his own apartment, as an unconventional best friend. Aaron names the script Two Spies.
