Plot summary
Fritz Von Erich, a retired wrestler who never won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, runs World Class Championship Wrestling with his sons. Kevin and David wrestle on his cards, Kerry trains as a discus thrower, and Mike plays music. Kevin holds the Texas Heavyweight Championship and begins a relationship with Pam, telling her about the curse he blames for the childhood death of his oldest brother Jack Jr. A disqualification win over NWA champion Harley Race puts Kevin in line for a title shot, but Fritz is unhappy with how long Kevin stayed down. When the Moscow Olympics boycott ends Kerry's throwing hopes, he comes home and Fritz pushes him into wrestling.
