Plot summary
Tony Stark is a billionaire inventor. Raising an ancient Chinese temple brings up an age-old prophecy that foretells the return of the Mandarin, ruler of a violent Chinese dynasty. Tony's friend James "Rhodey" Rhodes, an army medic, is kidnapped, so Tony goes to China to look into it. The Jade Dragons capture him and injure him badly, and shrapnel damages his heart. A Chinese shaman and Rhodey's medical skills save his life. Tony builds an armored suit loaded with high-tech weapons to face the force he brought up from the ground.
