The Intruder (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Charlie Peck sells Foxglove, his Napa Valley house, to Scott and Annie Howard. He tells them cancer took his wife Ellen, and that he will soon move to Florida to be with his daughter Cassidy. Instead he keeps turning up at the property: mowing the lawn, halting the workers installing a security system, and joining the couple for Thanksgiving dinner. Their friend Mike, staying overnight, senses someone watching him outside and finds a cigarette burn on his car seat the next morning. Mike insists the couple is being watched, while Annie's sympathy for Charlie and Scott's coldness toward him open a rift between them.
