Plot summary
A failed performance-enhancing drug test ends the hurling career of Gar Campion, once a celebrated player in Ireland. He is the first man to fail one, and public scorn follows. He accepts an offer to coach a struggling team in Waterford, the worst in the country, hoping to rebuild his shattered reputation. The work brings sporting problems and personal ones, among them renewed contact with a former love interest.

- Tony Kelly came up with the character of Gar around 2013 while he was performing standup, and when a first attempt to make a film failed he turned the script into a one-man stage show. He had earlier built a web series around the character.
