Plot summary
American Marines have landed on Mindanao, in the southern Philippines, to fight local rebels who have al-Qaeda backing, and Gen. Frank Lewis commands the force on the island. During a routine fly-by, rebel fire brings down a UH-1 Huey carrying Philippine troops and Marines, among them Captain Amy Jennings, at the controls, and Major Aguinaldo. The two climb free of the wreckage and move off with the rebels hunting them. Another group of Marines is sent in to bring the two out, and anti-aircraft fire downs that aircraft as well. The survivors, led by Lt. Matt Daniels, carry on toward the two missing officers.
