Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Before filming, Piotr Polak, cast as the comics artist Tadeusz, took accelerated drawing lessons from the film's art director Tomasz Lew Leśniak, and regular practice taught him to draw on set as a matter of routine.
- The live-action scenes with Piotr Polak and Helena Englert, who played the domineering publisher, were shot separately in Polish and in English.
- Director Wojciech Wawszczyk rejected a one-to-one film copy of Tadeusz Baranowski's comic panels as disrespectful to the art form, and instead remixed their spirit: their worlds, characters, events, colors, shapes and dialogue.
