Rachel Butera
Biography
Rachel Butera is a voiceover artist and impressionist who builds characters from her habit of imitating the people she meets. She spent her childhood entertaining others with impressions and her own point of view, and her stage material drew on what it was like to grow up in a middle-class New Jersey family. In the Howard Stern Impressions Contest she took the 5,000 dollar prize, which brought her recognition as the top female impersonator in the world. She went on to appear often on that show and supplied voices for Wanda Sykes, Rosie O'Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Rivers and Jodi Foster, among others. Her other work included impressions for the Raw Dog Comedy Channel, hosting The Worst Family Ever, opening for Kevin Pollak and taking the celebrity guest spot in Second City's TMI sketch show. She was also a frequent guest on podcasts and productions around LA.
