Plot summary

A documentary about the Go-Go's, the all-girl band from the Los Angeles punk scene that made history as the first of its kind to write its own songs, play its own instruments and land a No. 1 album. Candid interviews with the group's members carry the story, among them lead singer Belinda Carlisle, guitarists Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine and Jane Wiedlin, drummer Gina Schock and the original drummer, Elissa Bello. Voices from beyond the band also appear, including a record label founder, an MTV video jockey, a music journalist and musicians from other groups, recalling the punk scene the Go-Go's came out of and the years of the band's rise.
