Plot summary
In 1980s Britain, Dom is a teenager who spends his days with his mates and is tired of the same routine. A night at a club ends with his friend Tel headbutted by Bex, a stranger, and the two are told they have been named. Dom goes to the Lord Nelson, the pub where the West Ham firm gathers, to apologize, and Bex is impressed by his nerve. Dom later visits him at the estate agent's where he works, and Bex invites him to play in his football team and tells him to dress properly. A saved penalty wins the other lads over, and Dom is asked along when the firm travels to Portsmouth, where a rival firm is waiting.

- On 31 October 2009, Scotland Yard released stills from The Firm as photographs of hooligans involved in the 2009 Upton Park riots; the police later admitted the images were from a motion picture and apologized unreservedly to those affected.
