Plot summary
Jim and Danielle are married and live in suburban Dublin. Danielle's best friend Yvonne is married to Chris, and the couples have dinner at Jim and Danielle's home. A disagreement erupts between Yvonne and Chris at the table, and they keep arguing after they get home. One day Jim, locked out of his house with his children while Danielle is at work, calls to Yvonne to collect the spare key, and they talk about their work and their marriages. Chris's behavior changes, and one night Yvonne and her children arrive at Jim and Danielle's door after Chris attacks her physically. Yvonne tells Jim her feelings and seduces him; the two begin an affair, meeting in a hotel room, and decide to walk out of their marriages.
