Ingrid Craigie

Ingrid Craigie is an Irish actress who works across theater, television and film, born in County Cork and raised in Finglas, Dublin. She studied English at Trinity College Dublin, acted with Trinity Players there, and was given a first contract by Joe Dowling, spending five years with the Abbey Theatre, appearing in premieres of plays by Brian Friel and working with writers including Tom Murphy and Martin McDonagh. Her stage credits include Faith Healer at the Gate Theatre in 2006, playing Grace opposite Ralph Fiennes, and Broadway runs of The Cripple of Inishmaan, Wonderful Tennessee, Ariel and The Plough and the Stars. Her films include The Dead (1987), Da (1988), Circle of Friends (1995), Entebbe (2018) and You Are Not My Mother (2021). In 2010 she and Annilese Miskimmon co-directed the Irish premiere of The Diary of Anne Frank, an opera by Grigory Frid, and in 2007 she received The Irish Times Irish Theatre Lifetime Achievement Award.
