Plot summary
Richard Larsen, a reporter for the Seattle Times, interviews Ted Bundy in 1972, when Bundy volunteers for the re-election campaign of Governor Daniel J. Evans and is seen following the campaign of Evans's Democratic opponent with a video camera. In 1974, Larsen covers the homicides of young women in the Seattle area, the cases in which Bundy is first identified as a suspect. Larsen covers politics for the Times. Seattle detective Bob Keppel works them as well. Bundy leaves Seattle for Utah and enrolls as a law student, and women disappear there too. The cases draw in several police forces, whose cooperation the investigation requires.
