Plot summary
Ayden is a girl orphaned in medieval Europe, and a dragon is what took her parents. A dying elf comes to her with a magic crystal and a message: the North must be saved, and Christmas with it, because the holiday is becoming a fading memory. She takes on that errand as his last wish. The other orphans go with her, and Airk, a wayward adult, travels with them. Their road leads north, to meet Father Christmas.
