Plot summary
Azad leads a crew of four burglars in Athens: Ralph, Renzi and Hélène. With the wealthy Greek owner, M. Tasco, away from his villa, they break in, crack the safe and carry off a suitcase of emeralds. Outside, a policeman named Abel Zacharia notices their car, and Azad talks to him, posing as a stranded salesman. Zacharia leaves, apparently fooled. The crew plans to leave the country aboard a merchant ship, but the vessel needs five days of repairs. They hide the jewels and scatter across the city, and Azad stays in the city, waiting for the ship to be ready, with Zacharia pursuing him.
