Plot summary
Marvin Lazar is a small-time promoter and hustler with debts to pay. A television spot about the Bad News Bears gives him the idea of a money-making venture, and he decides to chaperone the pint-sized baseball team on a trip to Japan. There the Bears meet the best little league baseball team in the country. A win over the Houston Toros is what puts them in that game. The trip brings the boys a string of mishaps and adventures, and Kelly Leak takes an interest in a local girl named Arika, though a cultural divide comes between them.
