Plot summary
Miklós Varga is the son of Hungarian immigrants to Australia. He is struggling with his attraction to his best friend, Dan O'Connel, in the wake of an accident that killed his older brother Tomi and that he was indirectly responsible for. Miklós and Dan had plans to run away together. Dan tells Miklós that he now has a girlfriend, and the plan to leave is over.
