Plot summary
Two months before her oldest friend Francie Millner's wedding, Eloise McGarry lost her place in the bridal party and her boyfriend. Teddy Millner, Francie's brother and the best man, ended their two years together in a text message and went back to his old girlfriend, Nikki, who took over as maid of honor. Eloise attends the wedding anyway. At the reception she finds she has been seated at Table 19, alongside Jerry and Bina Kepp, a married couple who own diners, teenager Renzo Eckberg, Jo Flanagan, the childhood nanny of Francie and Teddy, and Walter Thimble, the bride's cousin. A guest named Huck offers her advice she did not ask for, and Eloise decides to stay.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Table 19 is set at a wedding at a resort on a fictional island in Michigan's Lake Alma, but filming took place in Georgia, on the Lake Lanier Islands and at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds on Lake Oconee, both outside Atlanta.
- The film's popular music drew on 1980s new wave songs covered by the New York band Oberhofer, arranged to sound as if they were performed by a wedding band, and the covers were released as the soundtrack album.
