Plot summary
Kent Horvath is a scientist developing a pesticide for yellow jacket wasps. He tests it on eight of them; six die, and the two that live show higher aggression and high pheromone levels. Cristina Brown, an entomologist, teaches a class on how an insect that attacks gives off a pheromone which warns others of its kind. She is called in about a death, and Agent Doug Heydon tells her about the dead man and about Kent's research.
